I thought these were shit but played a Fiesta Red one a couple days ago and had to buy it. Ain't got a camera at the moment so no pictures.

bought a Gotoh tune o matic to go on it but that'll require some work. Also, need to sort out neck allignment.

Kinda wanna get some white pickup covers, switches and a tortoise shell pickguard to an Roseland...

Told ya they weren't shit .. :D
Mustangs and basswood go nicely . I personally like the neck on those better than the 69RI. I'll be getting a Fiesta Red and doing the tort job too. Already have a lil 59 and a hotrail floating around to get those Funkin Designs out . :D

I'd prefer a 69RI neck but this one is nice enough. Is only a hair thicker than my CIJ Jaguar's neck. And that has a tiny neck.

Interesting... I've been dreaming about a 65RI for a while now, but would like to hear more about your impressions of the Squier. I remember George didn't like his, but othomas seemed to like his well enough.

I've sold about 10 guitars in the past few years... The only one I regret selling is the Squier Jaguar.

Well, I've only had it for a few days but it's already my favourite. Feels so comfortable to play and is even better with some Power Slinky's and some tweaking.

I removed the factory shim and put two in made from a painkiller packet. Lowered the bridge a bit and raised the saddles to compensate. A bit of clear nail vanish on the saddles and it's holding up well.

I want to lock the tremolo and flip the tailpiece at some point though.

I definately prefer this to any 65RI I've played. Never really liked them anyway. Always preferred the 69RI.

my issue was specifically the very chunky poorly profiled, fretted and nutted neck. a lot of people haven't had this issue. some other guy (fakir mustache?) had the same experience as me. most likely a batch issue, now probably resolved.

other than that, just needs a new bridge

Sorry George... We're posting too fast :)

Yes, he'll be StayTrem'd soon enough. I held out for a long time but finally folded.

I wrote that the workmanship on my strat jack jag is a little better and the neck thinner, but I don't think the Mustang's neck is bad or too thick (I like thick necks). Also it doesn't really need any work done to it as it is.

There were some people who thought it worse.

Mine was an absolute piece of shit. I have played a couple more that were a lot better though. I must have just got one of the bad ones. Bridge is in no way fine though. It's not even acceptable.

I've managed to set it up alright and it's holding up at the moment.

Probably will upgrade to a StayTrem at some point down the line though.
