Don't you think for $59,000 this dude could afford to mount these parts on Les Paul historic body instead of a stupid foam rubber copy of his guitar?. (link)

I have no doubt that a les paul with vintage parts would sound good. But i doubt anyone could pass a blindfold test of a reissue vs an original. I think newer les pauls
sound plenty good enough.

Wait did he separate the guts from an actual 59 les paul then mount them to a foam guitar cutout with the image of said 59 les paul printed on it to part it out?

He's keeping the body and installing hardware that isn't worth $50,000 on it?

Or am I missing something?

Everyone who sells vintage guitar parts more expensive than $100 deserves a kick in the balls

He's slick, all or almost all his feedback is as a buyer too.

Wouldn't be surprised if the parts are fake too, if you do a close up of the pickups the covers look really dodgy: like he took a dishwashing metal sponge to new covers. Pickup screws look new too.

Great observation. I think you might be on to something there.
