Pedal Buddies #5 - Fuzz and Overdrive in Harmony

Normally when I make these videos, I want to show how two pedals react to each other, I don't often take into account a studio application for these.

With that I took these two pedals and used them to create a band mix in Cubase. I wanted to demonstrate both the benefit of tracking on recordings and how you can boost and cut frequencies without actually changing anything once the track has been recorded.

This episodes pedals are the Greer Ghetto Stomp and EQD Hoof Fuzz.

stereo mixes are weird, sometimes you can put in something on one side that doesn't sound that great by itself but will sound great in the mix

Part of the fun is finding things that work I think. A lot of my other overdrives were way too 'hi-fi' sounding to compliment the Hoof without just dominating the mix.
