Tele pickguard with a strat neck pickup hole?

Post by johnnyseven »

Does anybody know of anywhere in the UK that stocks, or can make, a Tele pickguard with a Strat sized neck pickup hole that isn't too expensive? I know GFS do them quite cheaply but I wanted to avoid shipping from the US.

You could also buy a file and slowly widen the hole. It should take maybe an hour if you don't rush (which might cause you to mess up). The lil 59 is not as wide as a regular strat pickup anyways.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Not too far off from what Fakir Mustache was mentioning...

And maybe it's not the info you need, but couldn't you also DO AN JERRY DONAHUEZ and just (1) drill needed screw holes, and (2) shoehorn in the bobbin of a strat neck pickup without the cover? Robroes would obviously not be an option for either a Li'l59 or regular Strat pickup, but at least you could probably choose just about any standard Tele pickguard in the world and still pull it off.
