What's the real difference between the Digitech Hyperphase and the Hardwire SP-7 Phaser? They seems identical but the Hardwire SP-7 is exactly twice the price of the Hyperphase on Thomann; are 44€ extra justified?

I went to record some stuff with my Hardwire phaser the other day and it kinda just stopped working. I hadn't used it in a while, first time I turned it on and it was working a bit like a mega square wave tremolo.
It's probably a freak thing, but, for what it's worth, that's my experience.

Doh! XD It isn't good at all; I've decided that I don't need an EH Polyphase and want to keep my Cry Baby (the first idea was replacing the Cry Baby with the Polyphase because it has some envelope sounds controllable with an expression pedal) and get a phaser anyway. The Hardwire seems a good choice with its seven modes, very versatile but I would like to know the real difference with the Hyper Phase that looks like its cheap version. Did you also tried a Boss phaser? How are they compared to the Hardwire?

The only two phasers I've ever owned were the VFE Enterprise and the Hardwire.
I really enjoyed the sound of the Hardwire, until it died on me. The Enterprise was very underwhelming.
I tried the Chase Bliss Audio Wombtone phaser the other day, it was fantastic, but it was also $400.
