Is this a good tune o matic for my mustang?

Will it fit directly so i dont have to drill or mod, because i want to keep the floating bridge if i decide to put it back.

http://www.thomann.de/fi/gotoh_ge103bt_chrome.htm

i just want to use electrical tape around the post and put it directly in.

thanks for some reply.

Buy a large-post import tune-o-matic, unless you are a loser.

I have a TOM on one of my Stangs. I honestly prefer the Mustang bridge.

If you weren't in Europe I would prolly PM you for a swop.

Buy a Gotoh Nashville one. I've got a tune o matic on my Mustang.

You will need to file down the bridge on the sides and shim the neck. I shimmed mine with two pieces of carboard, one piece of regular card and one piece of roach card. There's a little gap but I'm sure it's alright.

The bridge saddles will need to be slotted as well so bear that in mind.

Do we not have an FAQ for this? I swear threads like this are all I see in this forum. More or less "how can I Kurtz my ______?"

^well, not really, because he also has the American Facepalm model, so I guess he wanted to try that type of bridge in his other Mustang.

But I would say it's not worth it unless you get small string posts that will drop right in the cups, although you might have to remove them, and maybe put aluminum foil to get a tighter fit. Then if you have to drill, you'll have to put aluminum foil around the original cups if you want to go back to the original bridge.

You don't need to drill anything that's bollocks. Buy the Nashville bridge and wrap the bridge posts in electrical tape for a snug fit. And it'll be fine.

yeah. i want low action on the strings.

i have the american mustang and i like it with a tom.
im not doing it for the kurt obsession.
its for my playing when i play harder it moves a bit.
i use 0.10 on all my guitars now.

Noire is the squier 9.5 radius or 7.25?
can you upload a pic of your tom and setup?
