Was looking at the H & K head as I've heard very good things about the built un speaker emulation, and it glows rather nicely...

I may have to turn up at yours one day to try all this new gear out...

What wattage is the head? I'm assuming fairly low output from the size.

Dang, affordable tube amp with recording-friendly wattage, 3-band EQ and speaker sim?? Didn't even know these existed, the demos sound really fucking nice

It's a five watt amp nickd. It's fucking loud and does everything from cleans to all our scooped metal. I'm tempted to try the 18 watt model for gigging with. I paid £139 for it at a store 5 mins from home.

I'm thinking of grabbing the matching 1x10 or 1x12 to go with it. Can't wait to try the di out into my focusrite.

Share some samples if you can, Robbo!

The beauty of something like a self-contained amp and speaker sim unit is that the only variables are guitar, player and amp settings, rather than endless cabinet, microphone and microphone position variants. Obviously those things still make a huge difference, but it makes it a little easier to judge stuff

Yeah first I've heard of these too. Excellent idea, and you really did get a tremendous price. Eagerly awaiting an demo!

Thats a lot of amp for 140 quid!

It's surprising how loud 5 watts is, isn't it?
