Bought a 2013 Les Paul Studio Gold series, kind of because I have always fancied a Les Paul and Gibson didn't make any lefties in 2014 and aren't going to make any 2015 models. So i kind of panic shopped! Also Gibson have gone mental with their current range so thought I would buy a 'proper' one whilst I still had the chance.

lovely les paul, that gold hardware will age nicely. Is this one of the chambered ones?

That is fucking gorgeous. Don't know if it's the color or camera flash or what but it's got a GLOW.
I had a 2007 Classic White LP Studio, wish I kept it.

Gibson isn't making any lefties at all for 2015? or just none of this particular model? Either way...

Gorgeous. This very sunburst looks kickass without binding. I don't know if this one has weight relief, but the one I occasionally played was pleasantly light and sounded just great.

The Les Paul Studio is the best bang for buck Gibson. I like that burst.

Yeah, no 2015 Leftie Gibsons........at all! None, zip, squat, zero, in any of the ranges......with the exception of custom shop. Give them a blank cheque and they will make you one. They did it to us lefties in 2014. They announced that all models and colours would be available in left handed and then they didn't make any. Apparently there is an abundance of unsold 2013 models in dealers hands. All I can say is I generally don't find myself tripping over them in my local stores.......
The studio does have weight relief, very comfortable to play. The burst is lovely, very good paint job. It does glow in decent light (the camera flash does help) and has more of a dirty tobacco look in low light. Not usually a big fan of gold hardware but it just seemed to fit so well with the paint finish, and I do like the way gold ages. Also, they made less of the gold series so I figured chances are they spent a bit more time on the fit and finish as its not the usual standard parts (that's my theory anyway).
Basically, chuffed to bits.
