I just picked up a Squier VM Jag - it's a really nice guitar. I knew I wanted to throw in new pickups, but I also came across a relatively simple wiring mod that allows you to connect both pickup in either parallel or series. I really like the way it turned out. I think I will probably alternate a lot between the rhythm circuit, and the two pickups connect in series for leads.
