Adding Storage to Vintage style Fender guitar case

I was unhappy with the prospect of my whammy bars, tuners, and other junk providing a beating to my prized short scale guitars. If they're gonna get chipped and scratched they'll have to earn it honestly! So I added storage to my vintage style Fender guitar cases. I used 1"x 4" pine for the back and sides (ripped down to the proper height). 1/4" engineered laminate for the top(can't recall exactly, but I'll update the post later when I remember-same stuff that I've been using to make pickguard templates). Fake "long" fur from Hancock Fabrics. Leather straps, die, rivets, fasteners and black dye from Tandy Leather. E600 glue. 1/4" staples in the end pieces ( unnecessary in retrospect). 1 1/4" finish nails via my small nail gun. For tools I used a miter saw, table saw, finish nail gun, hammer, scissors, the tools to set the rivets and poppers, silver paint pen, but should've used a white chalk pencil instead as the paint made a mess of things in places.
Here's my results:
