Moar EHX pedal craziness: Crash Pad - Now with COCK FIGHTING

EHX’s rich history was marked by many revolutionary pedals but one of our most distinctive lines was a group of analog drum synthesizers that included the Crash Pad.
Like the original from 1980, the new Crash Pad can create an array of drum sounds and other-worldly oscillation sweeps, as well as process external sounds thru its resonant filter. Plus, it’s been updated to respond to expression pedal/CV input for external control over the filter in real-time.
> Creates a range of percussive sounds from cymbals, snares and hi hats to oscillation sweeps
> Triggers via the on-board pushbutton, an external (non-MIDI) drum pad and most clock generators
> Process external sounds thru the resonant filter + EXP/CV input for real-time filter control
> Rugged, die-cast chassis, supplied with an EHX9.6DC-200 PSU, also accepts a 9V battery
> Works great with the EHX Clockworks Rhythm Generator/Synthesizer, 8 Step Program Analog Expression/CV Sequencer and other similar devices

uh, maybe kind of. It's more of a synth drum module in a pedal shape.

I started a discussion a couple years ago on here about how I wanted to make my guitar attack sound more percussive.
...15" speaker in amp
.... .13 strings
percussive attack with right hand...
I was seeking more ideas from all of you.
this thing rules if you can dial it back to the point where it doesn't sound like a fake ass drum and something new..thicker...less resonant guitar stuff

Them sounds take me back to being in an amusement arcade, circa 1982.
EHX wrote:Guitar gods have used the cocked wah sound to create monster riffs that have earned a permanent place in the rock lexicon. That required finding the sweet spot in their wah pedal’s sweep. The Cock Fight lets you achieve that cool cocked wah sound without the wah pedal. Tune in the tone you want. Add the built-in distortion for more grind and growl, or switch to the Talking Wah mode for a stuck voice-box sound. If you plug in an expression pedal, you can sweep the Cock Fight for jaw dropping wah and the tone you want. Add the built-in distortion for more grind and growl, or switch to the Talking Wah mode for a stuck voice-box sound. If you plug in an expression pedal, you can sweep the Cock Fight for jaw dropping wah and talking pedal effects, with or without distortion!
Quick Specs
- Great cocked wah and talking pedal sounds
- Like getting three pedals in one: crying wah + talking wah (with adjustable frequency) plus a classic fuzz
- Use with or w/out the fuzz. Place the fuzz before the filter for a vintage vibe or after for a more modern sound
- Adjustable bias control takes the fuzz from “normal to a classic “dying battery sound
- EXP input so you can sweep the wah and talking pedal with an expression pedal
- Includes an EHX 9.6DC-200 PSU, also works with 9V battery
- Dimensions in inches: 4.0 (w) x 4.75 (l) x 2.25 (h)
- Dimensions in mm: 102 (w) x 121 (l) x 89 (h)

Fuck, I'm not a big 'wah-wah' fan, but the weird filtered-fuzz possibilities of this thing are SIIIIICK, plus the whole pre-post thing. Might try one of these out for realz
