I like the roller wheel they're using on these to adjust params. Super interested in the roller expression pedal for use with eventide stuff.

yeah, that's an interesting concept. not too spendy for those rollers, either.

right! i use the shit out of a volume pedal ( i don't really know why, just having it on board brings me comfort.) and I like the idea of freeing up that space for a smaller set up. Cue someone telling me to use the knobs on my guitar.

i tend to use volume knob as more of a static tool. having it on the board the board makes it a bit more expressive, almost like there's a name for that...

most guitars come equipped with a knob on it that actually controls the volume level.. if you turn it one way the sound becomes increasingly louder as you turn and if you turn the other way.. well... yes it decreases. If your guitars aren't equipped with this feature, i believe it's a worthwhile upgrade..

I've always found volume knobs do different thing to volume pedals.

agreed, i find it also alters the tone, which would tend to make sense since it is by definition at the very front of the signal path.

I'm actually shopping for a volume pedal. Seems to me that a traditional wah-style volume pedal would be easier to use than a roller. In a performance setting, at least.

When I go back home at Christmas I'm going to grab the last of my pedals that I still haven't transported over to England. The one I'm looking forward to the most is the Digitech EX-7 and mostly for the volume pedal on it.
