NGD ...sort of, 1964 Fender Jaguar

I bought this off Fenderguy on Offset back in the summer but life's been keeping me busy with kid starting school & getting married to post much so better late than never! Plus I can't stop playing it.

I bought it all original bar the tuners which were replaced way back when. It had had a recent fret job & I have since had a new nut installed bringing the e a little further in as I was accidently muting it. I also fitted a staytrem bridge & trem.

Guitar plays & sounds great, neck pup is big clean & glassy & the bridge has a tele twang to it. I have it strung with 11 flats. Recently flew up to Aberdeen for a gig & when I got back to London flipped the case & the guitar was still in tune.

Some pics I took today...

Lovely, it looks really similar to mine in the wear department, it's clearly been played.

Glad you're enjoying it!

Scratched up sunburst is my fave for Jaguars. Lovely.

Wow, beautiful. 64 B-neck Jag or Mustang is one of my dream guitars. Maybe one day.

Didn't you find yours in a shop in the south west? I'll have a dig for the thread be interesting to revisit.

I love how theese old necks have usually no to little fret wear and then you play a vm squier for 3 years and you get dents on the high strings so deep you have to dress the frets.

Nah mine was from Angel Music in Denmark St.

I got my JCM800 in a small shop in Gloucester for £499. Sold it a few years later for £900!

I think you're maybe thinking of that turquoise goatsejag that was from near my work, with the terrifying rout under the guard?

Yeah I didn't buy that, they wanted £900 didn't they with replacement pickups etc etc.

Never could have played it in good faith just knowing what was lying under the pickguard *boke*
