that is just so bad looking and just bad... So... "Uhmm guys want a longscale offset with normal pickups." "So why don't we just make a Jazzmaster with strat single-coils?" "Shut the fuck up and get out of my company. Now"

I remember Ollenorin had one custom built (not by Fender) a few years back (he called it his Jazzuar); don't think he kept it long though.

That bridge has been showing up on CS models for a while now. Personally think it looks shit (and won't intonate properly).
Fender should just buy Staytrem.

As for the guitar, no.
I do think they should put Jazzmaster pickups in a Jag though.

I'd love to have a go on one, but there's so much about it that seems a little lazy, with the plain upper control plate etc. As everyone else, I'd like a closer look at the bridge.

That looks like shite.
I'm pretty sure MBV had some custom 25.5" scale Jaguars for their reunion tour.

Should've just done an reverse Jazzuar and called it a day.

yeah i hate anything that looks like a strat got anywhere near it.
the whole point of mixing all these different guitars up and adding parts, taking parts off, is so that it doesn't look or sound LIKE THE FUCKING GUITAR THAT YOU ALREADY MAKE 1 MILLION OF A WEEK ALREADY
on the other hand, if you start with a strat, and fuck with it to make it LESS STRAT thats cool

They should really call this the Fender Dong Jag. That at least sounds more appropriate.

Quite possible, but not sure
I know Shields didn't have any trouble rocking the 24" scale back in the day

The fact that playing guitar is quickly going the way of playing the trumpet (Casual Sexcon 1959 talent of the year winrar) can't be hurting.
