I'm considering getting GFS lil killers some day in the future for my cyclone and I wanna know if I can put robroe covers over them to make them look more like mustang pickups, since I'm not too keen on the look of hot rails. Anyone know?

In my experience no, It might be possible if you are willing to trim some of the top plastic though.

you can make hot rails fit. you gotta get the real fender mustang covers though and not the dimarzio style ones which are just a bit smaller.
I have never tried the GFS rails but I have done it with other generic rail humbuckers.

i think rob had success with the jb jr's by prying the cover off, then putting the mustang cover over.

The GFS Lil Killers are physically patterned on the original style Hotrails that didn't have a cover, so you might be ok. I have a '90s JB Jr without the cover too, it's just built like an open-coil bucker on top of a Strat-style baseplate and you could totally get a Strat/Stang cover on it with some cajoling. You might be ok just squeezing it on, but I don't know about the top-to-bottom (neck-side to bridge-side) dimensions on the Lil Killers. They're made to fit in a Strat pickguard so unless you can see a cover-width gap around the whole thing that'd be where your only problem is. You also want to be mindful of the coils' height, as the ears of the cover may be suspended somewhere above the ears of the baseplate if the pickup is a few mm taller than a Strat unit, which will be a nightmare when you want to adjust the pickup height.
From this pic it looks like the bobbins' corners could actually be a problem, but hard to tell from an angle.
