Probably if the market will bear it. Once MF, GC, AMS, etc,... stop selling these limited runs the price can skyrocket. I've watched similar items sit for what seemed like years, then they disappear.

Could just be a quirk of the Amazon Marketplace system. They don't let retailers list items they don't have in stock so you'll often see items listed at ludicrous prices just so that the retailer retains the listing when they don't actually have the item.

Equally could be someone chancing their arm though.

This is my take too. I've seen pens that sell for $3 on there for >$60... I'm pretty sure the marketplace user is just reserving their place in the listing while preventing selling an out of stock item.
