Thanks to everyone here for all the help with the many questions I was asking I was able to purchase a 2003 CIJ Sonic Blue Jag-Stang. This things neck really is a dream! Its so small I can play it so fast! I have to get used to how small the width is so I don't keep hitting extra notes but its amazing!
I didn't realize how small the body was either.
Here it is!

Looks great! Very minty, as promised. We weren't lying about the neck

Thanks for posting it without the link. I am a noob to these old school forums!

Aye, but, fuckit. I'll nearly get annoyed at the humbucker then give up and go back to the neck and not care at all again.

And it's not even the pickup itself; it sounded really nice, bright and meaty in a cheapo guitar I put it in. Haunted guitar, the JS.
Anyway- ENJOY!

Haha, I did hesitate when I wrote that, thinking someone would jump down my throat for suggesting that the wood was duff.

It's one of the great mysteries of my youth.
Part of me wants to buy one again to figure out the deal, but money.

Love the neck pickup in my Venus. Hambaker much less so.
Neck's as fat as fuck though. If you like slinky necks it won't fly.

I went through it Doog, had the money and owned about four different models, even built a fucker from scratch to figure out what the deal is...
The guitar still holds mystique. One was great in stock form, another was atrocious, others were improved by swapping out the electronics. The one I built sounds nothing like the originals, but I did use mahogany and add a Jaguar trem to be fair.

Grats! I am a Jag-Stang fan. Probably my favorite body shape and neck shape. I have tried many guitars and still prefer my Jag-Stangs over pretty much anything else. Granted mine are modded such, but the body shape is the same. There is a chance my newest Jag-Stang might be my last guitar buy. (Shocking, I know.) It just sounds great and is super comfortable. I don't feel like messing with my other ones. (Could be honeymoon, but I don't think I have had any guitar fit all positives when I have played it like this one.)
Anyways, Jag-Stangs are great. Awesome necks, cool and fun body shape. Glad you have such a nice one!

This thread has got me playing my Jag-Stang again. Just using the stock neck pup--sounds great with lots of reverb.
