Anyone use them? I just bought a pack of brass picks after doing some reading up on Keith Levene.

Nah. Had a red anodised one years ago, when I first started (did everyone buy a metal pick when they first started?). Would imagine it's be great for acoustic picking.

I have a few copper/brass ones, for teh Albiniz. Sounds cool, and even though I use a pretty firm pick normally (1.20mm), the feel is a bit off-putting to use as a straight-up replacement.

I had a few metal ones, aluminum and brass. The aluminum one was super thin and made my 12-string acoustic sound very bright and shiny. Not my preferred material, but kind of a fun novel sound.

Always wanted to try experimenting with different metals and woods for picks. I've recently made the switch to Jazz iii XLs though, so I'm pretty happy, pickwise.

Pretty much only use aluminium picks for guitar these days (still tortex for bass). It sounds really cool but I play stupidly hard so all my guitars are getting hella scratched and my right hand is always aluminium coloured at the end of a gig/practice.

I'm happy with my choice of pick for general playing have bought these for teh different toanz.

This would be a concern. There was a day or two where I was using a two pence piece on my tele due to not having a pick and it's got a stack of dents because of that.

I mean I'm pretty much past caring at this point, none of my guitars are worth much and obviously it just adds to my PUNK AS FUCK aesthetic.

I've always used a pretty thick pick, but never anything metal. Maybe I should experiment.

I'm the opposite of freddie... I have a feather like touch.

I tried them back in the 80's. Too stiff for my liking. The metal on metal creates an interesting tone and you can do some cool stuff using the edge of the pick as you slide down the length of string or use it like a bow across the string if you rough it up a bit with some sand paper or emery board.

using them sets my teeth on edge and not in a good way

i use an aluminum pick that my wife made me for our anniversary many years ago.. i only use it for live shows.. so it doesn't get used much anymore but it's always with me.. it's like a mental thing

when i was in my full on "i want to be brian may" phase, i played with a coin for good couple of years. used to use a 50p as it had points on it, then used a sixpence just like brian lol. that got me onto using a smaller pick, then i switched to the little dunlop jazz III picks as there a similar size.
