Getting rid of finish checking?

Can you use leveler to remove finish checking?
Or would I end up with a smooth surface over lines of trapped air?

i don't know about that.
maybe if you sprayed misting coats of clear to fill in the cracks? the nice thing about nitro is its ability to burn in. Tho im the wrong person to answer any sort of finishing questions. what guitar is it for?
