NGD: Classic Vibe 60s Strat
So this arrived today. It's nice, like properly nice. I'm a bit in love with it. The finish is amazing, it plays brilliantly, and it sounds like a strat, properly stratty, and it makes me feel stupid for not having a strat before. Really enjoying getting all those John Frusciante/Rory Gallagher/SRV/Everyone Else tones. Now I need to decide what colour strap for it. I normally use cheap black straps, but I might get something a bit fantastic, because it's a fucking purple sparkly guitar.
A word on Andertons: Their customer service has been brilliant. They let me put a deposit down on this a month ago to pay it off Wednesday. I'd a missed call from them on Thursday, and when I called back, the guy remembered taking the order off me a month ago and said they'd just been calling to let me know that some of these have slightly tarnished neck plates and if I'd want to go ahead with it. They then phoned to tell me that the box they were shipping it in wasn't the original Squier box and whether or not this would be a problem. I think this is customer service that's bordering on the absurd. I will definitely order from them again.

Loved the cv stray I'd got from Tim and it was nearly as good as my American one I got after it. Some small tweaks will make it magnificent. Miss it and might sell the bass & old duo sonic to fund it

Burgundy Mist. Rarely looks the same in person as it does in photographs.robert(original) wrote:that is a wicked cool weird color. i bet it changes a bit between different lights and then natural light. I love it. and the matching stock... you know its sexy as hell.

Looking so hot.
If built anything like my jamon Jarman sig (probably same factory & finish) there's likely not much you'll need to do to it. And for certain the Burgundy Mist under a thick coat of clear gooped plastic makes it an odd sight under certain lighting, but is nonetheless a sexy color at any angle.
