Blocks and Binding.

This is a theoretical exercise.

Assuming I'm looking at a bass or guitar. Two of the same model. Same color, same electronics, same hardware, same woods.

One has a normal rosewood board with dots. The other has blocks and binding.

Price difference is $100. $100 more for blocks and binding.

Do you stay stingy and resentful for life; or do you splurge and later in life not afford to give your child braces?

Hasn't it been a few years? lol

I have been thinking of getting a Talman bass to fuck around with once I get a job (ie, daydreaming) and for $100 more, b&b neck... plus better electronics and a matching headstock and SPARKLES.

There's enough better about it besides just the finish. $100 isn't really that much money these days. Go for it. Unless your kid needs braces like right now.
