Looks like Schecter's updated the Hellcat VI for 2018.
http://www.schecterguitars.com/guitars/ ... 644-detail

Changed the pickups from Duncan SJAG-1 to a Schecter stacked humbucker, individual coil split switches on the plate, and a 5-way pickup selector... changed fret markers back to dots, retained neck binding, and changed the aesthetic of the headstock and knobs. Comes in the old 3TS, and a new ivory finish.

I'm intrigued, and curious to see how the new pickups sound. The original model had mini-humbuckers and was somewhat muddy; the 2012-2017 model sounded great with the SJAG-1s. The 5-way switch versus the Fender type individual on/off switches is a bit of a mixed bag... less flexibility, but much faster switching. Also loses the bridge/neck and all three on configs, both of which I frequently use on my 2012 model...

EDIT - Just noticed the neck heel has been contoured and changed to a 5-bolt too. Interesting.

I don't think I've ever seen this model, I also don't think I like it.

I think I like that Spitfire, but the strat input ruins it a bit.

I like it. Looks sleek. Nice points without being pointy.

I'm not really into the raised center and block inlays, but otherwise I find this pretty awesome.

Way too much wood in the body.

I’d never seen the Spitfire neither. I dig the purple one, but if the pickups are the same Duncan-Design FG-101s in the Ultra, they need upgrading.
EDIT: Nope, different pickup

The size, you mean? They’re not much different than a Fender VI, Jazz Bass, Jaguar, or Jazzmaster.
