I'd noticed that a lot of the shops in the UK seem to be running out of the American Vintage range guitars so I wonder if they're due to be replaced by "American Originals"?

I really like the blue one too. Looks like binding on the fretboard as well.
I'm still hoping they make another baritone JM though. I plan to pick up the Squier version as a birthday present to myself, but I'm not sure they'll still be in stock come April time, what with it being a 2017 model and all. A bari version of this though, with the blue finish and what looks like standard JM specs...YAS. I'd be all over that.

what the holy fuck. its a pine tree. just about every fucking pine tree out back of my house is wider than a fucking guitar. and there are 50,000 of them like right there.

It's seriously like someone just pulled the top horn and lower right bout of a Telemaster in Photoshop free transform mode, then slapped a surfboard-sized pickguard on it.
