Waiting on the 'bay seller posting it out early next week. I missed the Squier JM bari yesterday, but saw this up for £100 and had been curious about them for a while.

I look forward to finding out what the fuss is about these. Reading between the *amber* lines of "magic pedal" and "it SWEETENS UP THE TOANZ!" I've been reading on other forums, I anticipate that it'll be a compact clean booster with a distinctive eq curve. We'll see. I basically just want something that can do what my OD-3 can do when its gain knob is at minimum, but taking up even less pedalboard space.

Nice, hope you like it. I had one for a bit then sold it on but I can see why they're well regarded. I found the unity gain 'tone improvement' was its best use (bit of compression and extra bass/treble) but a bit superfluous for the money, and on my setup using it as a boost would add too much flub. Having said that, a lot of people swear by it and get great results.

^Agreed. I can see why they're popular too, but it's surprisingly subtle at low settings.

First impressions are good. I flipped the trim switch for the gain to "unity" but kept the "bright" switch on, because it loses too much treble otherwise.

It's small, and does a nice job of boosting while affecting the 'right' frequencies without annoying spikes in the eq curve. I doubt I'll take it off now, because it's so compact there'll always be room on my board for it somewhere.
