I don't think I've seen a legit 1984 Mustang other than the two small pics on the Fender Mustang story site.

But this one looks interdasting. Certainly a rare post 1980 headstock logo.

According to this site:

should have cream finish, white pickup covers, no serial number on the neck plate and tort scratchplate. Although the black pickup covers are stock if the fingerboard is maple.

Yes, but he wrote that in 1998. We now know that there were international color mustangs and other such groovy things right at the end of the Fullerton dayz.

My guess here is it's a partscaster, either that or a circa 1978 Fender Mustang with a 1988 Fender neckplate on it.

They started putting the serial number on the headstock in 1976.

Any shots of the back of the headstock or neck heel?
