Lately, I've been craving a JM-type, but not a Jazzmaster... so this checked off a lot of boxes. It also helps that it's pretty reasonably priced.

The seller's a store up in Tampa, so realistically if it ships out tomorrow, I could have it it in my hands by Wednesday.

Here's the pics from the reverb listing:

Looks super sweet. Do you still have G&L Tele?

Hopefully dots will be back from his birthday bender by then and the site will be up and running.

I didn't - I couldn't get along with it and sold it forward. I still have my Fallout, which is by far my favorite guitar.

And it arrived. I've only had a few minutes to play it, but so far I like.

The neck feels almost identical to my Fallout, so that's good. The pickups are clear and glassy, but a bit fat. They're closer to a Tele than a Jazzmaster, but that's not a bad thing.

And pics!

(I thought it was funny, a guitar box in a little car)

When I return from my quick holiday weekend, absolutely.

Like.

Usually, without the traditional trem I think the body looks a bit empty but there's plenty of other nice features on that to distract the eye.

Do you get any staining on your fingers with the neck inlays?
Someone I know has a RIC bass with black block inlays on a maple neck and he says it's common. I'd never heard of it before though.

None -the fretboard is actually finished.

I love this. Am curious to hear if you prefer it to the Fallout or not...

They complement each other very nicely. This weekend's project is installing two guitar hangers on my wall (well, Monday's now - MF shipped the wall hangers late), and the G&L's have earned their spot on the wall. My bastardized Vista Jagmaster stays in a gig bag.
