I'm a grownass man. I don't need a hundred dollar moneypit Squier to spend $300 getting parts to fix up.

^^ that was me yesterday, then I decided to check out the local GC to remind myself of what I'd actually be getting out of the Squier box. They had the red one in stock so I played it...I mean, on one hand $120 for a very aesthetically pleasing (I'd get the blue) Tele. But on the other the necks on these are pretty meh unfinished, and at minimum I would say new pickups and electronics are in order....if I was going to get one just for the body and pickguard I'd go the guitarfetish route.
It's a no from me. Unless you have some extra decent tele pickups already laying around and don't mind roughass unfinished necks. Besides you're a grownass man and already have like 6 Teles way better than these.
Also, while I was ogling the blue tele on musiciansfriend, I failed to jump on a teal metallic DeArmond M-66 for $100 on the local facebook marketplace. I didn't really need either guitar...I GUESS.
