I've got this old Danophobic pedal but that screw is fucked and I can't get the battery out. How do I do this?

Well you can’t give it an abortion.

Needle nose pliers or a bigger screwdriver.

Oh yeah, and supposedly coins, but haven't tried it.

Had something similar happen to a Dano pedal, but the head broke off completely. Wound up drilling a small hole in the broken plastic screw body and attaching a metal screw to close the pedal.

I fucked it up more using a 5p coin. I'll have a butchers for some pliers then.

It's a Pastrami Overdrive. Can't find any information about what it's based on if anyone here knows?

I think it’s based on a fundamentalist interpretation of Leviticus.

Maybe if I say in this thread that every time I read its title, I can hear Thom Yorke warbling it to the tune of "Fake Plaaaaastic Trees", it'll stop happening?

Glue something to it using super glue and take it out. You can also rebuild the head afterwards. Take a piece of plastic and grind it on a file making plastic sawdust. Fill the messed up parts with it and add super glue, then add more of the plastic dust too exess. When it dries up shape the head with a file to its original form and cut a notch for a screwdriver using some smallish saw

Knife or scissors, cut a deeper slot with it and try to turn it.
A coin doesn't give you that grip or torque on it, something with a handle and sharp edge might.

Pliers will probably fuck it up more. Mole grips would be better, or a big screwdriver, like this

Does anyone else have a thing where they can’t help but hear that one line in Fake Plastic Trees as “a fake Chinese Robert Plant?
