So Lamp sorted us out with a link to somewhere that sells Avatar Cabinets in Europe, (http://www.gear4music.nl) I sent an email am awaiting a quote on an unloaded and a Vintage30 loaded cabinet.. but I was thinking styling and colour scheme choices. So to go under my 6100 head which is in Black tolex (not the one below), what do you think:

Two style choices, the Vintage or the Custom...

Firsly the Vintage (US price $358)

Looks pretty solid and spiffy

Or I could go with a Custom one (US price ~$300):

These are the schemes that leap out at me

Or I could go very Fancy Dan Premier (US price ~ $359):

The ones Malik and I posted are really the only ones that don't look awful.

I'm a little disappointed they don't have an oldschool Marshall basketweave - like this:

I think you're right though, that blond weave one would probably annoy me after a while.

I like them all, I don't think you can go wrong choosing any of those.

It'll probably be this one if they have reasonable prices - I like the Fender styling. The black one would probably be a little boring.

I got the black with blond weave one to go with the orange head. It doesn;t look too bad, but I would have prefered the orange tolex for that amp....Hey for the price I paid for it I can't complain. I got it and the tiny terror out the door for like $750. including tax and having the cabinet wiring upgraded and the new eminence speakers.

Indeed. Good deal.

Gladyou like the Terror by the way, sounds like it's a killer piece of kit. Simple can be very beautiful

I think they're all pretty awesome. The one that Gavin chose stands out to me, though

I agree with the simple is beautiful.... But as a rhythym player who mainly uses a particular tone throughout a whole song, I cna definitely see multi channel amps and all that being damned useful playing more lead, etc...

Yeah, I do like the orange alot...Maybe it is just new gear syndrome, but I hope not....

I'd say definitely the custom over the vintage. Not sure about colour...probably the Fender grey/silver.

They still haven't got back to me after two emails. Grr.

I imagine it'll take ages to get built/shipped at this rate. There's a 2x12" Marshall cab like the one I used to have not too far from here on ebay - I might go for that if I can get it reasonable.

I'd be interested to know what prices they give you even if you don't go for it.

Don't worry, if they ever dignify me with a response I'll post it here.

I am annoyed though, that's a shit way to do business. An email from my work account on Friday and one from my gmail this morning and no replies? Fuck that.

That's pretty poor. Hope they do reply, out of curiosity if nothing else.

The website gave me the impression somehow that they might be a bit quiet. I'm really surprised someone like Charlie Chandler or Hugh Manson hasn't jumped on the Avatar bandwagon tried to get a distribution deal sorted out.
