Hey, I've got a really old wah pedal that doesn't have any lubricant on the treadle, It's affecting the smoothness of the wah.

What lind of lube can can I use that won't damage the wah in the future?

You sure? I've got a relatively new Dunlop Hendrix wah with some white sticky goo lining the treadle, I was looking for some of that... :o

3-n-1 drop oil...you can find it in any hardware store or even grocery.

I'm leaving in about 10 minutes to go find some. What about Lithium Grease? I've read that recommendation on a few quickly googled help forums.

if you're gonna lube an electrical connection, then sure. Either way, lithium grease will work just as well.

Awesome. Thanks for your help Aug, with this and with the 'how to clean a pot' tutorial. :D

It's not an electrical connection, he said the treadle - it's a mechanical track and cog system - you need something thicker than WD40 or 3-in-1 which will probably just drip and damage the PCB.

Vaseline.

Well I'd ruled out WD40 from the get-go, and I don't know how thick 3in1 oil is.

I think its a cross between lithium grease and vaseline now, but basically I just want to know what the white goo in my Dunlop wah is so I can go get some of that.

No shit, Capt. Obvious. What do think, I'm an idiot? And suggesting he use vaseline is straight up retarded.
