Right, I'm after a hard case for a Mustang which can be fun in the first instance I know. But how about a lefty suitable one?

Can anyone point towards a case that will actually hold a lefty Mustang. Glasgow ain't exactly the best place to try and find guitar accessories and I haven't been able to find anything suitable.

You could just put it in a righty case upside down. :D

Just get one of the big boring rectangular ones, that'd fit a Stang, a Tele, a Strat etc, lefty or righty.

Try Hiscox. Their LiteFlite cases come in all different shapes, including Jaguars and Mustangs. Whether or not they sell lefty ones is another matter :P

Go into guitar guitar down at the Tron, and ask them to order you in a suitable one.

I've only been down to Guitar Guitar once and that was when I was looking for a Graphic Fuzz. I didn't spend long in it but it certainly looked nicer than Sound Control/Merchent City/McCormacks/Biggers.

I want to actually see if the Mustang will fit in there first though. I'm not sure they would be too keen my ordering something only to say no thanks.

I think a rectangular case may be the way to go.

If you can get hold of an actual Mustang case, it will fit in that. Just lay it face down rather than face up.

Aye, the Tron Gate. It's where Glasweigens go to play games in a neon world.

Anyone know of somewhere online that sells a nice range of guitar cases? Preferably Ritter or Hiscox.

Looks like I'm going to go for either a Ritter or Gator rectangular case. I can't find any of the rectangular Hiscox cases unfortunately.

You can fit a lefty Mustang in a Hiscox Strat case - they are made so they fit left and right handed strats, and my Mustang fits in there. I put a folded up tea towel under it though to balance it because it's a thinner body.

I'm just have trouble finding some online. I've tried my usual suppliers of GAK, Dolphin Music and Holiday Music and have found some Ritter and Gator cases but I can't seem to find anyone who supplies Hiscox.

Can anyone push some more sites at me?

Ebay, get yerself a bargain. It's only a hardcase after all, not a guitar.

Or just Google it, I found loads of sites that do Hiscox cases mailorder.

Yeah, there is a lot garbage out there too unfortunately. Time to start a Where To Buy From page on the wiki possibly? There are tons of small guitar shops about that seem to sell stuff that doesn't appear else where,

ie Left Hand Strat/Tele hardcase

eBay seems a bit light on good deals at the moment. I'm buying a load of strings and some straps from Holiday music and I might just phone and see what they have in stock besides what is on the website.

So between Aberdeen and my flat in Glasgow there are three guitar shops and i'm going to visit the lot before i purchase online. The one in Aberdeen had a Stagg case for sixty pounds. i laughed in the guys face when he said the price. it was made of normal plastice, no reinforcement on the hinges or catches, padding, or even any extra protection besides the shell. on to glasgow.

GuitarGuitar is by far the best guitar shop in the city centre. You been to Strung Out Guitars yet?

Down next to Mono? If so yeah a few times. There is good banter in that shop.
