Man, I love the country part played on the compressor samples..

The true bypass bits were an eye opener too.

seriously, thanks for this.

now i have a decent reference for the Vb-2 sound for the byoc clone i have. I was never sure the tone i was getting from it was right.

If anyone likes a particular sample and wants me to scan/type out information about that pedal then just give me a yell and I'll be happy to do so. I have the book with me in work today (boss is on holiday)

MXR Analog Delay - track 65

Made: '78 to early 80s. Reissued 90's.
Controls : Delay, Mix, and Regeneration knobs, stompswitch on/off
Sonics: a quality analog delay with some versatility

I've looked some but there don't seem to be a lot around.

I think second hand and ebay is your best bet. I know inscho has one - maybe he'll sell it to you.

Although they say they use a 18' lead for the "guitar>amp" sample.. but doesn't say what they used for the other ones..

I'd expect a bit of high end drop off if they used a 2nd 18' foot lead (plus the foot or so of patch cables) but even so, that buffering made a big difference.
