Seymour Duncan fucking sucks

Seymour Duncans sound like shit. The stock humbuckers in my Squier Tele Custom sound better than my JB or any other Seymour Duncan I've ever heard. I admit that when I think DiMarzio, I think of old dudes playing speed metal, but every time I've played their pickups they sound INCREDIBLE. AND THEY MAKE THE TWANG KING.
Discuss how much Duncans suck compared to DiMarzio greatness.

I dunno man. Yun's favorite pickup was the super distortion. When I sold him my duncan designed JB copy, he said that was his new favorite pickup.
That said, I'm gonna have to agree with you on this issue.

The SD "Vintage" For Jazzmaster in my Jazzmaster is rad.

I've got an SD 1/4 pounder for my Jazzy bridge off Hurb - and am contemplating the vintage for neck.. Is the 1/4 piounder shit then? i loved the Tele style one I had in my JS neck position.

Nooooo. I really like how the stock CIJ neck puppy compliments it.

Nah, it's gewd, just a bit too mid-heavy and lacking a little top end for my twangsome needs.

Sounds about perfect for me then - I have the tone control on halfway at the moment...

Yeah, probably more suited to the humbucker afficionado.

Schweet.
I'm gradually playing the Jazzmaster more again - a guitar that good shouldn't be shunned just because the Telecaster is so amazing.

F'real. Although a slightly costly mod, a Buzzstop and tightening up of tremolo did wonders for that guitar, it's so much more solid playing now.

I'm not noticing any buzzing or tuning issues, I never have really. I'll bear that in mind though if it does start to misbehave.

I didn't have either problem with my Jazzy either, it just made the guitar a lot more responsive and rockin'.

I did. I liked them too. I've had better tone from my Lace sensors though. But hot rails gives you harmonics from hell. Well, that guitar did harmonics from hell when it wasn't even plugged in. It fell into a big vagina :/

The '59 Trembucker and Jazz humbucker I have in my Strat hack are great too.
Shadow is incorrect it seems.
