Push it like a fat bitch over a cliff.

Turn the master volume down and the channel volume up. Bingo.

Try it and see if it's loud enough for you.

Turn the Master Volume down and then turn your channel volume up until you get the Gain you need - then turn the Master Volume up to get that same tone at the volume level you require.

Also give your AC15 to someone else who'll actually know what to do with it.

Don't expect thrash metal distortion to come from the preamp of an AC15, though..

They never get really gritty, I've played a couple at shops and was kind of dismayed at how little variation you get for your £900. It does one thing really well but that's a little much for that sound.

What a pleasant individual.

To be honest, the best way to get good natural power amp distortion out of your combo is to let it warm up and take it off standby. Then crank the Master and Channel volumes and pull the speaker lead to the internal speaker from the back.

Play plenty of power chords to really warm up the tubes for about 10 minutes. After that your power tube should really be cooking and you'll have a rocking tone.
