Re: oh goddammit!
i'm pretty sure it can be fixed or rehouse it , if not you can get another one on the cheap.theshadowofseattle wrote:The on-off on my Tuna Melt died!!!
yeah my chorus died amd my OD died, they suck that way
yeah if it's stuck on you can make a by-pass box for it, really cheap and easy

That's my stance on it for the moment. I'm gonna toss it in the parts drawer until I have an actual need for tremolo, and then I'll have it rehoused. I only used it for How Soon Is Now choppity chops and Caesars covers.

There is a really comprehensive rehouse guide here including all the circuit changes you need to make.

Uh. Fuck that parts list. I have most of that already, and thanks to Cowbell we have a cheaper source for switches and boxes.
UGH. That parts list is STUPID. You don't need to buy most of that shit, since you already have it with the original pedal. Already have the LED, already have the SPST switch, already have the pots....wtf are they telling you to buy all that shit again? If yr handy you can reuse the shit from the original pedal.
That page is stupid.
EDIT: Hey, that thing has better bypass than I expected. And it would be easier to change over to trew bypass. All you have to do is cut the traces on pins 3,4,5 of the chip and reroute them to a good switch.

Check my edit. Would be simple, easier than the Boss that Cowbell did.
EDIT: Well, I could do true bypass, it would be a bit more work but it could be done, I should have said you can redo the switching with a proper stomper far easier than I expected, it would still be buffered like it used to be. Or I could make it true bypass too. Anything is possible.

They have an odd way of going about it, and a REALLY bad source for parts. And they basically want to completely replace EVERYTHING in the pedal, which is totally not necessary. If you are going to go that far then you'd be better off just building a clone yourself. I still can't believe that parts list and the final price.
