Im gettin abit bored of my wah, so ive been thinking if there are any mods you can do to them?

Mine is just a real basic TGI wah, no tone/volume/gain controls or anything. Is there anything i could do to it to make it abit more fun to use?

I could post pics of the guts if you really want.

Nah, its not a well known brand one. All it says on the damn thing is 'TGI Wah'

if can somehow find a certain Cap, and replace it with a different value cap, then it will produce a different tone for the wah, and you could maybe find a few and be able to switch between them.

also try some circuit bends

Or replace a resistor with a pot (which is just a variable resistor really) to have some kind of effect. You'll need to look into it, but there's definately simple mods out there.

Troo bypass and a blue LED, you'll get transparent bass boost innit.

Ignore me, I'm being a fool.

looks like a decent wah. you can rotate the pot to alter the range. also, if you can find a smaller or bigger-threaded gear/cog for the potentiometer shaft at the hardware store you can INCREASE the range, or just limit it to the most useable sweep frequency. that's the easiest thing, i guess. no wiring required.

here's a vox (top) vs. crybaby (bottom)

Well, pots have like a 270 degree rotation sweep, so all you have to do is detach the top part of the pedal from it, rotate it slightly then reattach it and you'll have a new sweep, just be careful not to overdo it or it'll get jammed!
