A clone of the Space Echo, if it's any good I'd definitely consider it.

Wow that is cool - I guess they unveiled this at MusicMesse?

The Space Echo model on the DD20 was excellent so I reckon that will rule. They're very smart making it look as much like one as possible too.

Yeah I reckon so, I've never heard a DD-20 but I've heard great things about it, so this will be essentially that model but probably better and definitely more tweakable.

Probably in a similar region to the other twin pedals, you've got a DD-20 right Mike? How much was it?

Damn you Roland. I want samples.

I got it second hand for £120 and sold it on for £132 (I have a DMM and an MDX now so I'm delay covered).

I think they're like £170 new.

It was a really, really good pedal. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a delay pedal, especially over the unreliable POS that is the Line6 DL4. The Tape Echo on it set like the Space Echo setting in the manual was very good. While it seems a little bit like a one dimensional release (rehash of old technology, already emulated in another pedal) I can see it doing well if it is cheaper than the DD-20 (which given it's more limited functionality it should be).

Yeah that's true. Does the DD-20 have a sampling function at all? Selling pedals for profit forthewin!

Yeah it has a sampler/looper and you can overdub layers.

Ahh I didn't realise it had that function, it's seeming more and more attractive to me all the time to be honest, I'm looking for something to replace the DD-6 that has a little more sampling time, although I may look for something that is sampling only as my Memory Man covers my delay needs really.

The only thing the DMM can't do at all well is cutting through overdrive, in fact it sucks as it. That's why i have a Digital Delay in the form on the MDX on my board.

Yeah that's true, although I generally tend to use mine on clean.

The Boss pedal looks really cool doesn't it.

It is a good looking thing. Boss/Roland are no fools.

Here;s the original for anyone not familiar:

They need to stick a VU on that thing.

pfft. That would make me spuzz my pants and buy it in one swift, messy manoeuver. And I don't need no more delays.

More pedals need VUs to see how hard you are rocking.
