My thoughts exactly, but I can't find that one for sale anywhere!
It would be amazing with a baritone neck, and covered in shitty rockin' slogans!

I guess it's on that website!?
Thanks
Not a bad price at all, the medium jumbo frets are a bit of a turn off, but I could get over it for that price, especially seeing as I'd put a baritone neck on it.
Now, how to persuade the girlfriend that we don't need to pay rent this month because this guitar is coming out!

Yeah it looks really nice. I read somewhere else it comes in vintage white too, with a black pg... dunno if that's true though, it's not mentioned on any official fender stuff.

colours I've seen are black, white & the one above. I really like these and interested in hearing what those P90 style pickups are like. Has anyone seen a UK release date yet?

Black? where have you seen that? I have only seen the one above and the sunburst.

Oooh, the dark stain mahogany on that thinline plus the maple neck is sure purdy.

I just took a look and they now have photos on there, the finish above is called Transparent Black

Meh, it looks like it's just a little more black tint in a '69 mahogany's fudgy stain. No biggie.
I reckon the cool thing for some is that for $399, folks can finally kinda do an Greenwood with the Modern Player Plus with just a few mods, not too far off from the original Tele Plus. Just add Honda sticker and whatnot. Also, having the both a hardtail and the bridge pickup coil split toggle plus a proper stratocaster pickup in the middle should make a lot of Strat lovers curious to give it a spin.

Ooooh. I like that burst, it reminds me of a bowling alley lane. Haet maple fretboard, but the finish is nice.

Just noticed on the Fender site there is also a Strat in the modern player series. No photos yet though. Comes in a boring olympic white or a more interesting silver burst.

the pickups are similar to dave kilminster guitar? 400 bucks for a fender is cheapo.

Also the neck Telecaster pickup will have pole pieces to line up correctly with the strings - a failing of Strat pickups where the E strings don't match up correctly, particularly noticeable with import string spacing and narrow nuts.
