OH, well you sand it smooth after it has dried with wet n dry paper as high up as you can get (1500 for me) once you have done that it is all dull and scratchy. so you have to use some polish(I use tcut colour fast) to shine it back up. you will need to repeat the polish a few times to get it really good.

I'm doing the slightly dubious thing of turning my spare room into a ventilated spray room. And by ventilated I mean it has a big ass window and I has a fan.

I've been buffing and polishing the guitar today. it is hard work, however the tcut colourfast is awesome stuff but you neeed the elbow grease.
Some pics, I still have to do the sides.
I like the white headstock with the red body, this is the first time I have put them together. looks kool I think. the fiesta red is weird how it changes in the light, from really salmony pink to a deeper candy red. pleased, but more work to do on the sides hands hurt and my room looks like I killed a bunch of people.

I didn't realise that buffing would be a messy process.

Or am I being a spazz and the cutting compound is red itself?
I realised you used clear so there should be no redness coming off.

Cheers mate! I am really happy with the finish this time, It's my best attempt yet.
The whole body is now polished to a standard I can be proud of I think. gonna rest some then tackle the headstock.

It's a plastic shaft. He'll cut it shorter when the guitar is done

I was going to wait till it was on the headstock but that may not be for a while because that halfords paint is being a pain in my arse.
but check it
I made it red so it matched the body.
