The best part is that maple is mofo hard and the glues area may be even stronger than the rest. Unlike a Gibbo, where you might still have worries, I think this thing is good to go, even in a stress point around the tuners. Nice job, brah.
if nothing else, the owner cannot bitch that robroe didn't do a fucking amazing job of at least TRYING to salvage his headtock. KU-FUCKING-DOS.

Robroe mate, you've done a really top notch job on that headstock. The first thing I would've done is panicked and probably cried if I did that to one of my guitars. Was this the guy who threw his guitar up in the air on stage? If it is tell him not to be a muppet and to look after his Mustang.

yea, but these guys put on a really good show. the first time i saw them they had this big red light on stage with them, and a fog machine going non stop, plus they had some other guy switching a strobe on and off too. all this was going on in a tiny bar. They stopped doing all that stuff the last couple times i seen them though. (i think anyways, i haven't seen them play in a while)
if you are going to go all out for the rock, i understand and encourage it.

the deed is done.
front, back, and all strung up ready to rock
i forgot to take photos of filling in the screw holes!!!! its easy though.
3 steps.
stuff glue in the hole
stuff match stick in the hole
dry
bust off the match stick and sand down with a dremmul as close as you can taking not to fuck it up.
its not necessary to sand it perfectly flat because you will be screwing shit into it anyway, pushing down along the way
the screw sets into the glue+wood (match stick), much better than glue alone. you can use this trick on like any screw hole that gets fucked up.

toothpicks will also work instead of matchsticks. i used green and blue ones on my jaguar.
that's a great job, rob. you can hardly tell it was broken. in photos the crack looks like a grain line.

Beautiful job. Even in the extreme close-ups, its almost impossible to see any cracks. I'm sure if I didn't know it was there, I wouldn't be able to see it at all.
