What do the stock pickups sound like on the Japanese Jags? Do they sound like the real thing, or are they like the Jap Jazzmaster pickups that sound like a strat?

Reddish is better than brown, but it's hard to mess with perfection. I didn't mind the red after I saw it. Hurb, you lucky SOB!

They sound OK pretty microphonic though(more so than my 69 Jaguar) I will do a direct comparison maybe.

Cheers jim, I started cutting out crap nearly a year ago. I plan on doing a before and after when I reach my target maybe. I'd rather talk as little as possible about it until I reach it though.

I had a few plans for moding and stuff on this guitar, but after playing it I think I am gonna just wait and see. I have thrown a vintage trem on it and a mustang bridge on it till I can be arsed with the stock bridge. I want some vintage mustang/jaguar knobs for it defo as the jap ones are arse. I want white plastic tuners too. and strap locks. the rest of my modding plans are on hold for now.
