I have no idea how accurate it is with regard to the voicing Marr uses but it sounds good to my ear
I typed this out before I went out but my wireless fucked it over so I don't know if I'll say what I did before.
I was playing just as Cadd9 G Bm D, but the way you've got it there seems much more accurate, with the bit before the Cmajor7 and the Dsus? Anyway I can't be arsed to figure out the chords but that sounds much better
I'll give it a proper blast tomorrow when it's not 3am D:
I have no idea what the chord names are to be honest, and it confuses matters that you could be referring to them pre or post the Capo.
I just messed around until I'd "Marr'd up" the chords enough to match the record.

Sounds good. The effect is pretty accurate.
It sounds like your Jag has a bit more poke than my the CIJ reissues I've tried. Or maybe you've quite a percussive playing style. Either way, sonds kool.

Ah, I'm talking in relation to the capo, as if the F# was E.

Yeah, the pickups are a massive improvement. The guy in the shop said they were the same as the AVRI Jaguar pickups - I don't know if that's exactly the case, but they're a lot more decent than CIJ stock pickups for a kick-off. I balanced them perfectly before making the demo so teh bridge and the neck are the same volume when put on in isolation. The sound you're hearing is with them both engaged. I love this guitar.

Fair play, I'm terrible with chord names, I'm a "by ear" player and transposer so I would probably call those chords:
A plus something
Csus
G
A up a string
Bsus
Dsus (I know these are probably wrong, but that's what I call sus chords.)

What I particularly like about this youtube demo is the way the comments of headed into a really quirky debate about if Mike's accent is fake or not......
and there we all were thinking you'd just have a load of smiths fans complaining about the tone! (I think that's testement to the tone)
_______
Of the demo itself I thought it was ace...cute overdrive distortion box
sidenote: when someone does a kick ass cover and someone asks for the tab and the person says oh I played it by ear does anyone else feel like shooting themselves in the face

My accent is the centre of some serious debate.
Being able to play things by ear isn't the be-all and end-all, I know next to no Music Theory which I find galling and frustrating. I wish I knew chord theory etc.

you don't think he's from Bracknell then?..sorry
I know bugger all chord theory, I don't think I can play by ear, I'm not sure how you find that one out....but if you don't know if you can (I suspect you cant) and I hate tab
I just make up my own stuff any go with that...dull dull dull
But for christmas I will be treating myself to this book.........Rhythm Guitar: The Complete Guide, god its going to be a fun year!

You poor bastard.
My folks live near Bracknell but I live in Watford, just outside North London. I'm of Liverpool stock originally.

+1, i could just never get into music theory or music lessons. even tab i struggle with, yet giving something a few minutes listen and i can just about get the bones of a song and melody.

No one would of guessed liverpool!
When I was typing this response I really gave some serious thought to saying 'oh no reason I just know some people from there'.... but those people would actually have been me..that's how good a town it is. I've never been to Watford I bet its great...I bet everyone sounds a bit like their from Bracknell!
Sorry for hijacking the thread

Watford is far from great, but London is and it's a 20 min train journey.
I still have my hard A's from Liverpool. GlAss, GrAss and BAth etc.

Hard A is when you say 'glass' as opposed to 'glowrs' isn't it?
I think Irish/Scottish/Liverpool accents all have similar roots, and all have hard A's, but I'm not sure.

Indeed. Very true.
It's all about Bums.
Gl-Ass is how I say it as opposed to Gl-Arse

don't know if it's possible or your cup of tea, but i've been trying to get that cheap fuzzy sound you hear on trex songs like ride a white swan and i like to boogie.
