(re: audio quality in yer vids, you could always record speaker sim DI/well placed mic audio in Audacity alongside the video cam, and just replace the audio in Movie Maker)
I've often looked at them Hohners myself, but when i saw the Wesleys for £79 (with gig bag, lead, strap, plectrums..), AND they got a good review on HCUR as well... i thought dew it!

Thanks for the tip on the recording. I considered using windows recorder along with movie maker but was concerned it would be out of sync, exposing myself to extra Youtube abuse "hay! u suck, your not rely playing that and Furston Mo0re never played like that m8"

i think it'd look pretty cool with a single in the bridge and a HB in the neck, like a reversed jag-stang or something.

heheh, do you all really not have guitars we have here? or are they just less available.

yeah, vintage stuff is much scarcer and more expensive as a result. also, what US made fender guitars cost in dollars, they cost in pounds. no fair!

ya know I often hear that about the prices but I think there's more to it than just the exchange rate. I think everything is more over there including cost of living and salaries. I don't really know though. I just know that when we travel over there everything is really expensive compared to here. I'd like to see a comparison between the median US salary and the median UK salary.

It's easily slided (slid?) across to be in time in Movie Maker, that's how I do my "close mic" demo vids.. plus I mix it with the cam audio for the tawkin'..

That one jazz shaped thing with the strat bridge and 3 pups was available here under the Malden brand name. You'lls ee them turn up in pawnshops and cheapo guitar stores. They were amde under a bunch of names.

Malden in The United States was the one I saw most, Stagg was another one.

yea, I really dig that tele style one. but the shape is not really right. the holden and worship/J&D ones are like an exact copy of a jagmaster. even the pickguard is the same shape.

Good point. Headstocks may vary but there seems to be a handfull of brands using the same stock.

Are these shortscales? or regular strat scale? I have a crappy tom delonge squier strat which I dont use anymore, but the neck is really nice and I am thinking of using it on a project eventually. Shitty tuners but a big 70's style headstock. I could put it on one of these budget offset things if they are 25.5 scale :)
