That's a bargain - you could buy it, bung it straight on eBay and virtually double your money.

I've now changed my mind, didn't realise the Riviera had full sized buckers. Get the Casino, and don't worry about feedback - it's controllable by position in relation to the amp. WOuld suit your style down to a tee.

I've bought a number of guitars from Thomann - as long as it's marked as being in stock, they're great. Good prices too.

If you're worried about feedback, there are ways around it. I play medium to high gain stuff with an Epiphone Emperor Regent, which is fully hollow and is a full sized archtop, so it would be a lot more inclined to feedback.

To remedy this, I stuffed it with toilet roll until I was happy with the amount of feedback. Also, putting something behind the bridge will help. I used a black sock stuffed with toilet roll. It means you go on stage with a fucking sock on your guitar, but it's not as if anyone will notice what it is. Apart from that, a bit of a change in technique will help, and just be aware and be on your guard that it might happen.

The advantage is that you can get awesome tones and unison bends and such sound amazing, as the whole thing starts barking. It's pretty terrifying, when you can feel the whole of the back of the guitar literally jumping in and out as it vibrates against your belly. I sometimes worry that it might split or something.

I think I've taken the toilet roll out of this, as it was needed in an emergency.

Haha
I've heard of people doing this. The other guitar player in acdc did it with dirty socks. allegedly

I think this sock is clean.

I know people usually do it with newspaper, I just didn't have any and had to play a gig that night so I used toilet roll.

I love putting a bit of tissue in front of the bridge for banjofun.

That's not my word for something dirty, either.

Haha, the part with the 'emergency' great.. So now Ive settled my mind on the Casino.. deciding wich color the Natural, or the Cherry one.. (its in the thomann.de stock.. hope would arrive in a few days) // The Casino is a Semi-hollow, right ?

Fully hollow and go for natural.

Indeed, fully hollow; I've had a 335 and a 330 (also fully hollow) and I'd go the Casino route next time too. Go for the natural; also, the cherry isn't showing as being in stock for me.

Yes, I think the natural looks very nice.. And I should choose the Epiphone default case ? / Cool.. the main difference between hollow and semi-hollow is the center block ? / Well Youve convinced me for the Casino, Ive been looking at the Gretsch for so long, and You shifted my thoughts for my other option, thanks (: / And I want a new guitar, I know the vintage ones are cool and better quality (often) but I just want it to be fresh, haha. / And THANKS for the help once more.. it was really good. YES.

Yep, get the case (or one of Thomann's generic ones might be cheaper) - not quite as robust as a tele. And yes, the centre block (and trapeze) is about the only difference.

Yap, I chose the cheaper one.. haha.

that discussion just started, and I couldn't stop it. // Is it possible to add bigsby to an Epiphone Casino ? I read some people who have added the B70 Bigsby.. that gor me curious, cause a bigsby would be cool... // Why the polls are shoving 7 for the gretsch.. and I did my order just now, sh*t..

Cause I just voted for the Casino and pushed it to 8

I believe some Casinos in the '60 (also in the 90s) came stock with B7s or B70s.

Thanks, now my mind is calm once more.. // Too bad that no one has surf green Casino, but the natural is very nice.. //Thanks, I was reading the bigsby site.. and on the Gibson 335's.. they put the B7's and B70s as I understand the Casino is the same size.. and Youtube videos show that bigsby instalation is quite easy.. huh.. (scared of making holes in a new guitar), but I would like to try it.. / and should I get some good grover tuners already ?
