...any updates!?

man the more i look at it the more i fall in love with it. old and grimey. and smelly too, for sure (LOVE that smell). was probably found in a dead grandpa's house or something. i see one of the neck bolts is pretty worn out, maybe you'll have trouble getting the neck off (but, what for... anyway?)

strange thing is, it being a '66 still having kluson tuners on it. my '66 D&B jag has F-tuners already. nah it's nothing.
i say try to clean the fretboard a bit (so the notes sustain and don't stick to it! ) and put new strings on it. and play the CRAPPOLA outta it!!!

good luck, don't leave the house today eh? heh

Pat.

ps: this would be the perfect match for my beat to shit "crackwhore" '65 jag... (damn where's the drool icon...?!)

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

I accidently had my parent's address as the place to deliver. I drove the 30min drive out there to hopefully beat the UPS guy, but I was too late. Now I have to wait till 6, and drive out there again to meet him and pick it up.
so hopefully TONIGHT!!!

Dude had the neck plate on backwards, and a screw broken off!!

the pickguard was oozing Aluminum oxidation from the shielding, and the volume pot was completly frozen so I took it all apart.

Looks like I was the first person to take it apart since it was made. No fresh solder!

slaped it back together and polished it up a little, it works great

the onl downside is the neck is a little funny. It curves down a little. and it has a little too much bow, and the truss rod is already really tight. The saddles are pretty rusted in place, so I'll need to get some penatrating oil or something and get it to break free so I can intonate and get the action how I like it. But I think I'm done buying guitars now.

Looks well. It looks like that bridge is going to need a long, oul soak in WD-40.
