i guess it depends if he finds out anything else wrong with it after he starts cleaning up the body from all that gunk. if the worst he has to do is scrub to get at a decent paintjob on a ~20-year-old guitar, that's not so bad. the parts alone with the body would be worth over $350.

That's £230. If you don't mind it looking shit and the neck you have was cheap then you may have done ok.

Definitely not a bargain though cos you can get jags of a similar age or newer in good condition for £350 or less and a knackered 90s japanese jag is no better than than a not knackered 00s japanese jag.

This thing has latex housepaint on it. It's sanding off pretty easy but I went through a ton of sandpaper. I decided to do an approximation of daphne blue with a matching headstock. I'm taking a week off of work to finish this thing. I got a white pg and a new decal coming in the mail soon. I will definately post pics as I go..
