To be honest I'd prefer to do a trade rather than sell it. I was hoping to maybe do a straight swap for either a vista jagmaster or a Fender. As i said I maybe should have put it more in the project section as it's not totally finished yet and I will post pics when I'm home to show you how it is.

Uummm I think this guy is being out of order... So you don't want to contribute to the community but you do want to profit from its interest in your guitar type AND you dont want to 'have to' post single word posts?? This scenario smacks of pure cock. Kudos to Mike and all others for being welcoming, reasonable and. given recent events, very lenient indeed..

Just my dimes worth.. grumble grumble

Sorry if you feel I'm being out of order. Maybe I should have made 50 random posts before putting this post up but oh well. I just thought this would be the best place to put this rather than go on Ebay and I realise I have blatently broken the 50 post rule.

Fuck. Is there a UK equiv of Craigslist that I can search to find a Jagmaster or something?

Dude, I dont give a shit about that as long as I can get someone here that I trust to handle the exchange face-to-face. I just need some time to locate a guitar to trade with you.

That would be amazing. Well I'm more than willing to meet anyone and let them have a look at it etc. I'd obviously like to trade for a vista jagmaster so then were talking of similar spec and value, it's just I'd love a non-reverse body.

Yes that's right of course I want you to force yourself to do 50 random posts. You poor hard done by thing you. Or maybe contribute 50 worthwhile posts if you could lower yourself for a moment and give a shit like everyone else did?

Serious question to mods: are all new joiners with under 50 posts allowed to post trades and sales in the Knowledge forums from now on?

I see it this way, new posters are not privy to the "bro-deals" that go in the Classifieds forum. There's also a higher risk involved in this deal as this person isn't known and trustworthy at this point.

Personally I don't have a problem with new posters looking to sell their shit here as much as keeping them from snaking the deals on things we sell here. That's my only issue with letting anyone into the Classifieds.

How much is it to ship a guitar to the UK from the US? Anyone know? All the Jagmasters over there are retarded expensive, I can buy one locally for half the price of buying one over there. Anyone?

Okay, so that's about $120 to have a Jagmaster shipped to a known trustworthy UKer, the swap to happen, and then have this SuperSonic sent back to me.

This maybe possible. Still looking into this.

I'm still at work at the moment. I'm in the forest of dean, Gloucestershire and I'd have no problem meeting a veteran trustworthy seller for you. As I said I'm just bored of the reverse body, sounds a bit silly but I just cant get on with it and never really have. I'll upload pictures as soon as I'm home so you can have a look and decide. As I said the pickguard is a little rough at the moment but I am going to try and build another one but I'll up the pics and then we'll see from there.

Yeah, I'm going to want to see pics and such before going anywhere on this.

I'm left handed so I love the Supersonic, I already have one. The neck is a bit dodgy on mine so I'd like a whole new neck to replace that, additionally I need to strip the body down and reroute the controls to the other side of the body and fill the hole, however I don't want to stop using my Sonic while I do this. If I have a new body/neck to move my guts to while I complete the body on my other, then swap them back, that would be awesome. Then I'd also have an extra body and neck to work with otherwise.

A lot of this is up in the air at the moment, but basically Sonics are way harder to find over here, while Jagmasters are found for cheap. Trading a Jagmaster for a Sonic is a net gain in my book if anything for the neck and body.

Yeah it is a little up in the air. The neck is perfect on it in my opinion so there's no problems with that at all. I'll post the pics and we can go from there. A Vista Jagmaster would be lovely for me so if it all happens everyone will be happy.

i think you are not considering all the factors pen pen. a vista jagmaster is going to be hard to find for less than $450+, then to tack on an extra $120 for round shipping?

Several people don't know what the fuck a "Vista" series is, and sell them for the usual price. I'm looking at three different once for less than $200 right now. I'm just trying to confirm they are Vistas, even though they all have what appears to be the Vista sticker on the headstock.

I'm working on this. I ain't doing a trade for that much, no f'ing way. But if I can locate a Vista Jagmaster for < $200 then it's worth it, as Supers sell for around $400.

show me three seperate vistas going for less than $200, and i'll shut my mouth.

i've watched two go this week on ebay for $400+. here's the only active one i can find now and it's sitting at $400 (no bids, mind).
