He seems likeable enough to me. If U2 had broken up after their 3rd album he'd be a hero now and everyone would talk about him like he was Kevin Shields. All these comments about The Edge are true but somehow they just make me more annoyed with The Bono.

I liked his work up until Pop and at that point I was done with U2. Especially liked the first three albums, The Joshua Tree, and Achtung Baby.

If I was that rich; I’d make it my mission to have 1 more guitar than the edge at all times...

hate U2.....although Joshua Tree was cool....but nothing else.... not really a delay fan

After seeing It might get loud I was dumb founded at his lack of skill compared to the real guitarists in that movie.... when jamming Jack and Jimmy would just be going right along playing off each other and the edge was just busy staring to see what they are doing......

I do not feel that the addition of 1,000's of effects makes a good guitarist

I found the "jam sessions" to be awkward. Most of the time they were just staring at each others' fingers. The song at the end was good though.

The jam may have come off much better if Jack played rhythm, Jimmy played some lead and riffs, and Edge did some atmospheric twinkly stuff. Might have played to all of their strong points and gotten the best out of each.

Jamming on trad rock tunes isn't for everybody.

Besides they probably spent more time talking about groupies and investments.

Isn't Bono/ U2 about peace, love and helping people anyway?

After watching It Might Get Loud I found it pretty embarrassing him being there with too badass guitar players, but I though as a person he came across ok.

I seriously did not know that Jack White was a decent guitar player, I've only ever heard one White Stripes song. He reminds me of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka....

He's fantastic, the recording are always a little more dumbed down I find but in some live footage the guy can rip it up!

I just threw up every time Jack White spoke.

Loev Edge. SUCK MY DICK. U2 has gotten pretty shit, but they still do have great songs on every album. The new one has a couple!
And, this isn't even a matter of opinion at this point, just a cold hard fact, Joshua Tree is one of the Greatest Albums of Our Time.

The Edge is not a great guitar player.......so what he doesn't blab about being this great guitar
player either, Jack White's ok but lets not forget he started one of the most underwhelming musical
projects of the 2000's the Dead Weather  plus Brendan Benson who is in the Racontuers with him
is one of the best songwriters I've ever heard and he continues to wallow in of obscurity :x

I love the Edge. I remember the first time I SAW the Edge play guitar I thought to myself "Oh man that was a GUITAR he was playing!!!" I had never heard a guitar sound like that before, I always assumed it was keyboards or something in U2s music. Up to that point guitar was either that annoying instrument that all the hair-metal bands made sound really crappy, or that instrument you saw in music videos but could not really hear in the music. It was quite the revelation for me at the time to hear a guitar make sounds like that. Definitely not the most skilled player, but he makes the most of what he has got which you could argue is the true mark of talent.

The Edge seems like a nice guy...but...yeah...U2 can suck it. Not to get off topic...but I think Jack White is a big dick and his whole idea of having to work hard to play the guitar is kind of retarded when you can have a guitar that behaves well as a machine, like it's supposed to.

My best bud/bandmate got thrown out of a party when he said U2 are the worst musical atrocity ever committed. The host said he was being blasphemous, insulting Ireland and Catholicism. What a dick.
People who don't play/like music all love U2.
