no amount of lipstick will make that pawnshop pig attractive, but it rankles that we get such a bum deal on imports. surely more choice = more sales?
we've had this debate a million times anyway, i need to lie down...

The duo sonics have needed new colors for a long time now. The desert sand is not pretty. I really like all the colors with the tort.

I like the desert and the gold pickguard.
I suppose I'm in the minority.
What are the awful necks you're talking about?

Anyone else noticed that the Vintage White Pawnshop model on the Fender Japan site has a decent looking decal too? (unlike the "mustang special" ones that felt like an afterthought on the models I've seen over here)
Man alive I would have an unhealthy guitar addiction if I lived in Japan! I feel like most of the guitars that make it to export are purposely ugly as fuck so that people outside of Japan will buy their more expensive Fender USA counterparts (eg. Thinskins etc.)

I like my desert sand one but these are swish, wonder if I could find one of the tort pickguards on ebay at a later date though.

wow. The duosonics look nice! I don't know why they don't offer them everywhere, or at least as special order for an extra £20 or something lol

I LOVE my desert sand duo. I would have bought it although the other colours. But i also love the tortoise ones! They look great. Why are they not availlable outside of japan?!? Generally problem. I also love the japanese mustang colours. Is it more expensive to ship a yellow guitar than a red one?!? Why is the mustang bass in europe only availlable in white? *gggrrrrr*

It's lame that Fender did this. These other colors would have sold really well stateside.

I like all of those duos more than the gold/gold one. Shame.

well,
mustang special is better than just
mustang. it's not a mustang.
