I actually clicked on that expecting the link to work. I don't know what kind of page I actually expected, though. Something amazing.

Yep; the Jazzmaster/Jaguar/VI trem is, hands down, my favorite trem system that I've tried.

That said, a Bigsby B5 is a pretty sweet piece of hardware itself.

The weird thing is, until I signed up here every JM player I'd spoken to had changed their bridge somehow. Most swapped the saddles for Mustang equivalents, one or two used a Mastery but I felt like I was the only one perfectly content with the stock setup as-is. It takes patience to get it right and I still have to be gentle with her on the low E but its tuning stability surprised even me.

The idea of bolting a Bigsby onto it never crossed my mind though. Ever. They do have a retro 'mojo' to them I'll admit, but the more I look at this the more I wonder what the previous owner was thinking. It looks more like a testbed for different ideas - each intended for a different guitar! - than anything. The Grover tuners are interesting though...I've never seen any quite like those before.

I thought it pretty strange at first too... then realized it was a pretty clever way of mounting the Bigsby. There's no wood under there to anchor the Bigsby, anchoring it to the old trem plate was a really good way to make it stable!
Still hideous though :P

That wire loop screwed to the back of the headstock so you can hang it from a nail - genius! Why don't they come with one of those as standard?

Thats probably one of the coolest guitars I've ever seen. Mostly, because its so fucked up. I would play that all the time (after putting a proper neck back on it).

I wish it were mine.
